The Psychology of Staging...

Did you know.....

Psychologists have calculated that 80-90% of people do not have the imagination to picture their furniture in a vacant house. Most homes that prospects view are owner occupied with furniture and seeing one empty may reduce the desire for the home.

When the prospect mentally visualizes their furniture on the displayed furniture, they begin to see themselves living in the home and thereby taking a " mental ownership" towards buying it.

Furnishing and staging a home with a neutral style will dramatically enhance the presentation of a home making it more appealing to a larger percentage of potential buyers.

Home builders for decades have been using furnished models homes to show prospects because it has proven to increase their home sales. It works for them, why not you?

Some key strategies are eliminating politics, religion and multiple family pictures from the home to make it show more like a model home. The focus should be on the design and detail features of the home and its architecture not the décor.

So, if you are not the 20% then why would you waste your time and money not hiring a professional accredited stager to help your home show the best on the market against it competition?

Staging prices are much less that months of mortgage payments and  price reductions.  Capture the potential to set your home apart from the rest of the market and get it sold!

Banner of LOVE

Thanks Daisy Mae Bell Blog for the inspirational photo for creating a framed banner.

Here is a link to her blog

I had this old frame sitting in my garage and trying to think of a use for it.  Voila I came across Daisy Mae Bell Blog and found this framed banner.  I took an old banner made from burlap and antique lace and strung it across the frame in my garage.  BEAUTIFUL.  I love it when a plan comes together with such simplicity and it does not require a trip to the store for supplies.
